Delta Medallion SkyMiles information

Continental is giving its premium flyers a special package of services. Called EliteAccess, the package is designed to reduce the time these travelers wait at the airport. When checking in, they will get a boarding pass with the EliteAccess trademark. Where permitted, they will be given expedited security screening and receive preferential treatment in the boarding area in the form of their own entrance to the passenger boarding bridge. The entranceways will have blue carpets and gold stanchions. The EliteAccess mark will be tagged on baggage as well. Economy-class passengers in certain fare categories will be given Elite for the Day status, and can be upgraded on domestic flights.

Delta SkyMiles members can now transfer hotel and other loyalty program points to miles. When they transfer the equivalent of 20,000 miles, they will receive a 5,000-mile bonus through Oct 31. Points can be transferred from Club Rewards, Diners Club, Hyatt Gold Passport, Le Meridien Moments, Marriott Rewards, the Membership Rewards program from American Express, Priority Club Rewards, Radisson Gold Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest. The equivalency varies among the partners-it takes 60,000 points from Hyatt, but 4,000 points from Le Meridien and 160,000 points from Radisson Gold. Prior to transferring, SkyMiles members must register.
